Yulia Tymoshenko was arrested.
Yulia Tymoshenko, the ex-Prime Minister of Ukraine and the mainest competitor of Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych, was arrested today. The opposition's leader is staying in the prison in Kyiv now. I don't want to say much, because don't like to talk about farce, and all this political deal against Y. Tymoshenko with her today arrest is no more than a farce. She is accused of "bad" prices of the Russian gas for Ukraine, which she signed as Ukrainian Prime Minister with Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin in January of 2009. But every European can remember the end of 2008, that cold winter and the stop of the transposrtation of Russian gas into Europe across Ukrainian territory. All wanted any Russian-Ukrainian agreement - only to have Russian gas again. And now what is it? Did Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko something wrong then? But why was this gas deal ratified by Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko and Russian President Dmitriy Medvedev, when it was wrong?
